Today’s sugiyah brought up the question whether a rule that fits Context A can be imported wholesale to Context B or requires modifications. This problem recurs frequently in the Talmud. In today’s bonus video, I look at the example of witness oath and deposit oath from b.Shevuot 31 and compare it to a similar problem from modern American law.
